Sandia Baptist Church

Sandia Baptist Church actively promotes missions on a local, state, national and world basis.

As a church, we dedicate a portion of our annual budget to the Cooperative Program, New Mexico Missions, Associational Missions, and the New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home. Sandia Baptist is also involved in supporting the Native American missions at Ojo Encino and Jemez Valley. Our mission emphasis extends to many other organizations as well. The Cooperative Program funds are divided in the following way:

60% to the Southern Baptist International Mission Board

30% to the Southern Baptist North American Mission Board

8% to the Baptist Convention of New Mexico’s Mission New Mexico

2% to the New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home

Sandia BC is not about words, but is about delivering the gospel’s message of hope with action and with love just as Jesus did. Sandia’s body of believers participate in projects that reach out to our community.  Our developing relationship with our neighborhood school – Grant Middle School – is one of the avenues for our efforts which include school supply drives, dealing with childhood hunger, tutoring and general support ministry of the school staff and school functions.  Our heart and prayer is that projects like these are just the beginning of many ministries that become a groundswell of God’s people being actively involved in local missions here in Albuquerque.  Be a part of this and other exciting mission opportunities by simply praying that God’s Spirit would begin to touch your heart and propel your feet into action through our Sandia American Missions team or through our Sandia World Missions team.

Sandia Missions Team

In the past, we have sent teams to Cambodia, Canada, Kenya, Ukraine, and Burkina Faso.  In 2020, we have a mission trip heading to Japan.

Our World Missions Team is tasked with working with our pastors to get Sandia Baptist Church members reaching others around the world with the message of new life in Jesus. This team promotes our annual Global Missions Offering.

Japan Mission Trip

Our mission trip to Japan is postponed till the spring of 2021. If you are interested in going on this trip, we first ask you to pray about it. If you need more information regarding the trip and to apply, please download the Japan Mission Trip Application.
